Quick summary

Consumer rights notice

Your statutory rights under UK law are not affected by this policy.

Collector Promise

We understand that diecast collectors care about blister cards, card condition, and packaging. We carefully pack every order and aim to make returns simple while protecting collectible packaging.

If your order takes a wrong turn, we'll help you get back on Route 66.

Returning your order

You can return your order within 14 days of receiving it if you've changed your mind.

  • Tell us within 14 days
  • Return the item within the next 14 days
  • Keep it in resale condition
  • Original packaging is appreciated

You can inspect an item as you would in a shop. Please avoid opening sealed collector packaging unless it's necessary to inspect the product or the item is faulty. Because many Colbcast customers collect items unopened, we recommend keeping blister packs and card packaging intact if you are considering a return.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK consumers may cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. The cancellation period starts the day after you receive the goods.

After you tell us you're cancelling, you have 14 days to send items back. Items should be in a condition suitable for resale. If an item has been handled more than needed for inspection, we may deduct a fair amount from your refund in line with UK consumer law.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect?

If something isn't right:

  • Contact us as soon as possible
  • Include your order number
  • Send photos if possible

We'll arrange a replacement or refund.

Faulty or misdescribed goods are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We'll put things right as quickly as we can.

When we can't accept a return

Collector returns usually can't be accepted if:

  • The item has been opened or handled beyond what's needed to inspect it (unless it's faulty or not as described)
  • There's no proof of purchase
  • The item was custom or clearly marked final sale (if ever offered)

How to start a return

  1. Email contact@colbcast.co.uk with your order number, reason, and photos if relevant.
  2. Wait for us to confirm your return. We'll email you a return reference (for example, CB-RMA-1042) and explain the next steps.
  3. Pack items securely — original packaging helps protect diecast boxes.

You can also use our contact form and select an order-related reason.

Refunds

Once we've received and checked your return, we'll process your refund as quickly as possible.

  • Approved refunds go back to your original payment method where possible.
  • We aim to process refunds within 14 days of receiving your return, or of you showing us proof you've sent it — whichever is sooner.
  • On collector returns, we'll refund the cost of standard delivery (the cheapest tracked option we offered at checkout). Express delivery charges aren't refunded unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise.
  • For collector returns, you cover return postage unless the item is faulty, incorrect, or damaged — or we agree otherwise.

Damaged in transit?

If your parcel arrives damaged:

  • Keep the packaging
  • Take a few photos
  • Contact us as soon as you can

We recommend contacting us within 48 hours so we can investigate with Royal Mail, although this doesn't affect your legal rights. See Shipping for how we pack orders.
